During my studies at Bath Spa University I was taught by fashion house pattern cutters, couturiers from France along with top British tailors. From this I achieved a BA Hons distinction in fashion design and went on to showcase my work at a London fashion show. After working at a couple of placements in London as well as more locally it made me realise that I wanted to start my label back in my home of Hartland in Devon. So I made the move back and got started, it's not been easy but the business has progressed well and there's still a way to go and there's nothing more rewarding than doing something you love.

Black Onyx Studio is a bespoke label that provides a personal service and specialises in women's wear and has produced a range of pieces from wedding dresses through to more casual items as well as soft furnishings. I also provide an alterations service that can be collected from you and dropped off to you or you can drop your items at my studio in Hartland, you can find my details on the contacts page. I will also be producing collections of one-off, handmade women's wear pieces using beautiful materials and cleverly cut to make them flattering and classic. Black Onyx Studio is about feeling beautiful and this reflected in my service as well as the clothes I produce.
